Welcome to the virtual home of Lövskärs kennel!
It has been already 30 years from my first litter on 1994 when I was only 17 years old.
For me the mystical history and the origin of the breed is the thing I love within Tibetan breed and Tibetan Terriers. It is very important to uphold the original breed type especially these days when the show type and show wins are more and more appreciated.
We have always had dogs in my family. We had borzois when I was baby and very young child, and still for me the borzois are the most beautiful dog breed in the world.
One day in beginning of 80´s my mother went to a local pet store to buy some dog food to our borzois. She saw there a nice fluffy and very matted young dog with his drunk owner and the owner offered this dog to my mother with a money of about 20 euros. That is the story how we got Ransu. First we thought that Ransu was a Tibetan Terrier, but he certainly was a mix-breed. Ransu was taller than Tibetan Terrier but smaller than Bearded Collie, and he was originally from Sweden, and did come to Finland by gypsies. Ransu was the most wisest dog of the world, and because of Ransu we did involved with Tibetan Terriers.
I have been breeding Tibetan Terriers since 1994. I got my first TT Ch Ge-La´s Caramel from my mother, when I was about 12 years old. Me and my sisters were good helpers to my mother and her breeding when we were young. I have also bred some Poodle litters, but I noticed that Poodles was not my breed.
I have exported puppies to United States, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, Slovakia and Russia and imported dogs from China, United States, Switzerland, Sweden, Slovenia and Poland.
I breed only one or two litters per year, so I can spend as much time as possible with the puppies. Puppies will born and spend their first weeks at the puppy room, but as they grow big enough, they are allowed to run all over the house so they will get used to people and other dogs and sounds of living.
I use only healthy dogs for breeding and I examin hips, elbows, back, patellas, eyes and makes DNA-tests from my breeding stock.
At the moment we have two Tibetan Terriers at home, so my breeding stock at the moment are mainly replaced to other families with breeding-terms.
